FEATURES:
High temperature sealing solutions
Hydraulically balanced seal with even 360 degree face loading. Allows the seal to handle more pressure without generating excessive heat at the faces.
All metal parts are designed to handle elevated temperatures without adverse effects: heat treated AM350 or Alloy 718 bellows, low-expansion alloy seal face retainer, and 316 stainless steel hubs and housings. Other material options are available.
Static shaft grafoil packing
For higher pressure applications, double ply bellows are available
Cartridge designs are available
API 682 Type C Arrangement 1, 2, and 3 available
Rotating designs are self cleaning using centrifugal force to throw solids away from the seal.
Style 60 Rotating High Temperature Bellows with grafoil shaft packing
Style 62 Rotating High Temperature Bellows with drive lugs and grafoil shaft packing
Style 64 stationary bellows design accommodates higher shaft-to-stuffing box misalignment. Unlike a rotating bellows design which flexes on every revolution, the stationary bellows design only flexes during installation. This feature reduces face movement and increases seal life.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Operating Conditions for Rotating High Temperature Bellows Designs
Max Temp: 800°F (425°C)
Max Pressure: 300 PSI (20 bar)
Max Speed: 4500 sfpm (22 m/sec)
Operating Conditions for Stationary High Temperature Bellows Designs
Max Temp: 800°F (425°C)
Max Pressure: 300 PSI (20 bar)
Max Speed: 10,000 sfpm (50 m/sec)
Note: Max Temperature / pressure / speed indicate operating extremes independently and do not imply the seal will function at these extremes at the same time. Contact Specialised Seals and Flow Solutions if in doubt.
